Closure order in Braunstone following reports of ASB

A closure order has been obtained for a property in Gaskell Walk, Braunstone, due to anti-social behaviour concerns.
The order was granted at Leicester Magistrates’ Court last week (Tuesday 9 August), following an application by Leicester City Council’s Community Safety team, with support from police officers from the local neighbourhood.
It comes following concerns raised by the local community and the order was granted on the grounds that a person has engaged in anti-social behaviour on the premises and the use of the premises is associated with significant and persistent disorder or persistent serious nuisance to members of the public.
The order will remain in place for three months – until Tuesday 8 November.
Sergeant Nick Golden, the Dedicated Neighbourhood Sergeant for Braunstone and Rowley Fields, said: “This is true example of partnership working following concerns raised by the local community.
“We are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour in the area and this order will have a positive impact for local residents. I would like to thank the local community for their support in raising their concerns.”
