Detectives are carrying out enquiries following a report of sexual touching – and believe there may be a second victim who has not yet come forward.
The initial incident happened outside a club in Abbey Street, Leicester at around 12.10am on Sunday 7 August, when a 19-year-old woman reported she had been touched inappropriately.
As a result of CCTV enquiries, officers believe another incident may have taken place outside the venue around the same time. However, the person seen in the footage has not contacted police.
A 47-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in connection with the incident that was reported. He has since been released under investigation.
Detective Constable Josh Evans, the investigating officer, said: “From looking at CCTV of the initial incident, I believe there is another victim of sexual touching who has not yet come forward. I would encourage her to contact police, if she hasn’t already done so.
“I’d also like to reassure her that specialist support can be provided if necessary.”
