Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog in Leicester.
Sometime between 10am and 10.30am on Wednesday 7 December a woman was bitten by a Bull Mastiff dog while in the children’s play/park area which is between Overton Road and Sulgrave Road.
The woman attended hospital for treatment to a head wound.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of dog dangerously out of control causing injury. He remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident or the events leading up to it.
