Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was assaulted during an attempted robbery in South Wigston.
The victim was walking along Blaby Road, near North Warwickshire and South Leicester College, towards Canal Street, around 5pm on Sunday 4 December.
As he approached the mini roundabout he was grabbed from behind by a man who threatened him and demanded property. The victim was then assaulted but managed to get away before anything was stolen.
The suspect has been described as white and around 6ft tall. He was wearing black balaclava and a black cap with the words ‘Jordan’ on it, a light blue or grey tracksuit with the wording ‘Hoodrich’ in black writing on the front of the hooded top and on the top of one of the jogging bottoms.
The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.
