Officers from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to a collision that resulted in serious injury.
The collision happened on Abbey Park Road, Leicester, near to the Grand Union Canal bridge at about 4pm on Friday afternoon (11 February).
A motorbike – a green Kawasaki – and a grey Toyota Prius taxi collided and the rider of the motorbike – a man in his 20s – sustained serious injuries and is currently in the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Officer in the case, DC Charlotte Wright, said: “Did you see this collision? Were you in the area and have dashcam that might have caught the collision or the moments leading up to it?
“Were you travelled on Abbey Park Road, between Melton Road and Abbey Lane? We want to hear from you.
“Any information you can give about this collision may be useful in our investigation.”
