Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted in Leicester city centre on Saturday night (8 January).
The incident happened in Gallowtree Gate at around 10.45pm.
A group of three teenagers were attacked by a group of men. One of the teenagers – a 16-year-old boy – was punched in the back of the head, causing him to lose consciousness. He suffered a broken nose and fractured cheekbone as a result.
PC Neil Rawlings, the investigating officer, said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the city centre on Saturday night and saw what happened. There will have been people out and about. What did you see? Did you see anyone running away?
“Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help my investigation.”
