Eyewitnesses and motorists with dashcams are being asked to come forward following a collision in the Freemens Common area of Leicester.
At around 8.45am on Tuesday (12 July) police were called to the junction of Putney Road West and Commercial Square following a report a van had collided with a cyclist.
The cyclist – a woman in her 40s – was taken to hospital after suffering a fracture to her leg. Nobody else was injured and no arrests were made.
PC Dennis McGurk, the investigating officer, said: “From enquiries carried out so far, I know there were a number of people who stopped at the scene – and some of those witnesses have not yet spoken to police.
“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the van or cyclist prior to it occurring.
“I’d also like to speak to any motorists who were in the area at the time and who have a dashcam in their vehicle. Any information you have could assist my investigation.”
