Man charged following double stabbing in Coalville

A 21-year-old man has been charged following an incident in which two men were stabbed in Coalville.
Liam Carter, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday 22 June).
The charges relate to an incident that took place during the evening of Monday 13 June in Long Lane.
He has also been charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to supply in connection with an unrelated incident.
A 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of violent disorder remains on police bail.
