Detectives investigating a burglary in the West End area of the city have released an image of a man they wish to speak to.
Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured
The incident happened around 11.30am on Saturday (19 March) in Westcotes Drive.
A man walked into the home of a lady in her 80s, pushed her and her friend into the kitchen and locked them in the room while he searched the living room.
He left the address a few minutes later with a small amount of cash, bank cards and a gold watch that has sentimental value.
Luckily no one was not injured but both women were left shaken by the ordeal.
Police would like anyone who may know the man pictured to make contact but are also appealing for people in the area to check CCTV and doorbell footage for anything that may assist with their enquiries.
Anyone driving in the area is also asked to check dashcam footage.
DC Joshua Evans, the investigating officer, said: “I am very keen to hear from anyone who may know the man in this CCTV image but we are also appealing for people in the area to check video footage from around the time of the incident – they may have captured something that could assist us."
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference 22*158641.
