A woman has died following a collision in Kettering Road, Market Harborough, on Friday (18 March).
Officers were called at 11.47am by the East Midlands Ambulance Service, who were in attendance at the collision at the exit of the Lidl supermarket car park.
The incident involved a moving blue Renault car and two pedestrians – a man and a woman in their 70s. A parked car was also involved in the collision.
Both pedestrians were taken to hospital following the collision.
The female pedestrian had suffered serious injuries and sadly died in hospital on Saturday (19 March).
The male pedestrian currently remains in hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
An investigation remains ongoing and detectives continue to appeal to anyone with any information to make contact.
Detective Constable Kasie Carter, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Sadly the female pedestrian involved in the collision has died in hospital. Our investigation is continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and we continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to make contact with us if you have not already done so.
“Were you in or near the supermarket car park on Friday morning? Did you witness the collision or did you see the vehicle mentioned or the pedestrians prior to the incident? Do you have any dashcam footage from the area which could help us with our enquiries?”
