Residents in Cosby are being asked to provide doorbell and CCTV footage following the theft of a car in Croft Road.
Between 2am and 3am on Saturday (5 March), a property was broken into and a set of keys for a black Vauxhall Insignia were taken.
The car was then driven away, but was later found abandoned in the Eyres Monsell area of Leicester.
Laura Stevens-Toon, from Hinckley and Blaby CID, is investigating the incident. She said: “I’d like anyone living in or near Croft Road to check their doorbell cameras for any footage which could help with our enquiries.
“Anything you have, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could assist. I’d also ask any residents who saw or heard anyone acting in a manner that seemed unusual or suspicious in the early hours of Saturday morning to come forward.”
