Officers are appealing for public help after an allegation of a disturbance in a Leicester street.
Reports were received of a number of people being involved in the incident in Hawkes Hill around 5.30am on Sunday 20 February.
When officers arrived those involved had left the area in a grey BMW.
Following a search signs of a disturbance were identified and a knife was recovered from the street.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who either witnessed the incident or has any information about it.
