Detectives in Leicester city centre are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which four people were touched inappropriately and a mobile phone and bag were stolen.
At around 8.20pm on Saturday 19 February, two 15-year-old girls were in the market place when they were approached by a group of youths. Both girls were touched inappropriately before the group then took one of their bags and mobile phone and left the area.
At around 8.30pm, two women in their 20s reported they had been walking along New Walk when a group of youths approached them, touching them before running off.
Detective Constable Josh Evans. From Central Leicester CID, said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed either of these incidents or who saw a group of youths – most of who were wearing dark clothing – in Leicester city centre that evening.
“Please cast your mind back. What did you see? What can you remember? Anything you’re able to tell me, whatever it may be, could help with my investigation.”
