Officers are investigating a report of assault – and are appealing for anyone who saw a vehicle leave an address in Gipsy Lane to come forward.
Between 6pm and 9pm on Sunday (27 November), a man in his 50s was struck with a golf club inside a flat, close to the junction with Victoria Road East.
Two people then left the property, got into a vehicle and left the area. No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
PC Elliot Brown, the investigating officer, said: “I am certain there will have been people out and about who saw the men drive off from the flat.
“Please cast your mind back to Sunday evening. Were you in the Gipsy Lane area? Did you see anyone acting in a way that caught your attention. Did you see anyone leave the flat and drive off?
“Any details you’re able to provide could help.”
