Man due in court for driving offences

A man is due to appear in court charged with a number of driving offences.

Ryan McGeechan, 23, of Brook Street, Shepshed has been charged with:

• Failing to stop for police
• Dangerous driving
• Aggravated taking without owners’ consent
• Possession of an offensive weapon
• Failing to co-operate with a preliminary test
• Driving other than in accordance with a licence
• Driving with no insurance

He has been remanded to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 27 October).

The charges relate to a stolen vehicle which failed to stop and was pursued by officers yesterday (26 October) in the Loughborough area.
