Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Ellis Fields, Oadby.
Shortly after 5.30pm on Wednesday (1 February) a group of males – believed to be youths – broke into a house and threatened an 18-year-old woman who was inside.
Although she was not injured during the incident, a bag of gold jewellery was taken and the group left the address and got into a car – believed to be a BMW 1 Series or similar.
Detective Constable Krupa Mistry, from the Complex Investigation Team (CIT), is the investigating officer. She said: “This incident occurred in a residential area at a time when people will most likely have been coming home from work.
“I’m keen to speak to anyone who saw a group acting in a manner that seemed unusual, suspicious or drew attention. I’d also like to speak to anyone with a dashcam or doorbell camera but who has not yet contacted police.
“Any further details or footage you can provide could help.”
