A man who died at a property in Queens Park Way, Leicester, has been named as Gerald Wickes.
Police were called at 4.59pm on Wednesday evening (22 February) by East Midlands Ambulance Service following a report someone had been stabbed.
Sadly, 79-year-old Mr Wickes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following initial enquiries, a murder investigation was launched by police and three people were arrested.
Mr Wickes’s family have released the following words in tribute to him: “Gerald was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by lots of family and friends.”
They wish to be left alone at this time.
