Nine people were arrested following a proactive operation targeting the supply of drugs in West Leicester.
Officers from the West Leicester Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA) were joined by colleagues from the Roads Policing Unit and Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) teams to identify those suspected of being involved in criminality and any vehicles also being used.
During the operation, which took place on Wednesday (5 July):
Sergeant Shaun Randall, from the West Leicester NPA, said: “Tackling the sale and distribution of drugs – and identifying those responsible – remains a priority for local officers.
“During this proactive operation we made a number of arrests and our investigation is very much continuing. We want to work with the community we serve to identify people involved in criminality and I’d encourage anyone who can provide information to do so.
