Man charged with murder of Natasha Morais

A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder following a three-day investigation.

Shannon Grant, of Rotherham Road, Coventry, has been charged with the murder of 40-year-old Natasha.

Police were called at 8.42pm on Thursday (22 June) to a report of Natasha unresponsive in an address in Loughland Close, Whetstone.

Officers entered the address, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Grant will be appearing at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday).

• Four others were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Three – two men, aged 22 and 53, and a 19-year-old woman were released under investigation on Saturday (24 June). The fourth, a 35-year-old woman, has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
