Detectives investigating the murder of a 79-year-old man in Leicester last month are appealing for help to identify the owner of the motorcycle helmet pictured.
Gerald Wickes died at a property in Queens Park Way, Leicester on the evening of Wednesday 22 February.
A 17-year-old male was charged last month with his murder. He currently remains in custody.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector David Greenhalgh from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit said: “While we have made a charge in this investigation, our enquiries are continuing. As part of these enquiries, we are appealing to speak to the owner of this motorcycle helmet. It is important to stress the owner of the helmet is being treated as a witness but it is believed your information could help us.
“Please look closely at the motorcycle helmet and if you recognise it then please make contact with us. You can contact 101 or report online at www.leics.police.uk quoting incident 558 of 22 February.”
