Appeal for witnesses to Barkby Road collision

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) are appealing for witnesses as they continue to investigate a collision in Barkby Road.

At around 9am on Sunday 23 April a red Fiat Punto Mia left the road and collided with a fence. The occupants – a man and woman both in their 20s – suffered serious injuries.

PC Anthony Brewin, from the RPU, said: “Our investigation to establish the circumstances of this collision are continuing and I’d like anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to come forward.

“Please cast your mind back. Did you see what happened or do you remember seeing the red Punto before the collision occurred? Any information or dashcam footage you’re able to provide could help.”
