Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following a report of robbery in a Leicester park.
Shortly before 9am last Tuesday, a woman in her 40s was approached by a man in Stokeswood Park, close to the entrance with New Parks Crescent.
The victim was sitting on a bench when the man took her mobile phone from her hands and ran off.
No arrests have been made and enquiries into the incident are continuing.
Detective Constable Thomas Radley, the investigating officer, said: “From enquiries carried out so far, I know there were other people in the park at the time this incident occurred.
“I would like to speak to those people about what they saw. Were you one of them? What information are you able to provide? Any details could help my investigation.”
You can pass on information by visiting https://www.leics.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/ and quoting reference 23*248045.
