A peaceful protest has continued at Meridian Business Park today (Saturday).
The number of people at the protest site at any one time is now around 15-30 people. All those present are engaging in peaceful protest.
No further arrests have been made.
The force’s policing operation remains in place and we are now starting to change the layout of the protest site. Officers continue to engage with people in the area as we do this and to facilitate a peaceful protest.
Assistant Chief Constable Adam Streets said: “A small number of people remain at the site engaging in peaceful protest and our officers continue to work with them.
“Thank you again to everyone who has encouraged and supported efforts to keep protest action peaceful today and with minimal impact to surrounding local businesses.
“I am also grateful to officers and staff who continue to work very hard as part of this operation as well as across the whole force area in order to help keep our communities safe. Thank you.”
