Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Watermead Way to come forward with information.
Shortly before 7pm yesterday (Monday 16 October), police were called to a report of a collision involving a grey Audi A4 and a cyclist on the slip road for Red Hill Circle, travelling towards Beaumont Leys.
The cyclist – a man in his 60s – was pronounced dead at the scene. Four people who were in the Audi were not injured. No-one was arrested.
Detective Constable Louise Hough, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Our investigation into the incident – which happened on a busy route – is continuing and I believe there will be a number of people who witnessed the collision.
“I’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the car or cyclist beforehand. I’m particularly keen to speak to any motorists with dashcams in their vehicles.
“Any footage or further details you’re able to provide could help.”
