A man has been arrested after he and an accomplice attempted to steal a car from a driver in Leicester.
The incident took place in Cambridge Street around 9.20pm on Tuesday 24 October.
Two men threatened the driver of a black Chevrolet Matiz with a knife before pulling him out of the car. They attempted to start the vehicle and failed, breaking the wing mirrors during the incident.
With the help of a member of the public one of the suspects was detained at the scene by the victim and the other made off.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Officers believe there were a number of people in the area who may have witnessed the incident or captured it on their mobile phones.
