Police are appealing for dash cam footage after a man has died in a collision on the A453.
The incident happened shortly before 3.40pm yesterday (Sunday 1 October) on the county bound carriageway, close to the Ratcliffe-on-Soar.
The collision involved a blue Renault Kangoo and a white Scania HGV.
Officers attended the scene, along with the ambulance and fire service. The air ambulance was also in attendance.
The driver of the Renault, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the HGV was not injured.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses who have not made themselves known to us so far.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone with dash cam footage – either of the incident or of the vehicles beforehand.
Anyone with information is asked to report either online www.leics.police.uk or via 101, quoting incident number 440 of 1 October.
