Officers from Central Leicester CID are investigating a collision involving a car and pushbike – and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened in Granby Street at around 3.10pm on Wednesday 6 September.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, reported that a car - which he believed was a black Fiat Punto - had collided with his pushbike after he had been involved in a verbal argument with the occupants.
He suffered injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing and the car left the scene.
PC Fabia Warman, the investigating officer, said: “As part of our investigation, we are trying to establish whether this was a deliberate act and I would like to speak to the driver – or anyone who saw what happened.
“Granby Street is a busy part of the city and I know there’ll have been people who witnessed this incident. Please cast your mind back. What can you remember? I’m particularly keen for anyone who filmed the incident or motorists who were in the area and have dashcams to come forward.”
