Detectives from Central Leicester CID are investigating a fight on Silver Street – and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Police were called at around 1.15am on Saturday 24 September and on arrival found that a female in her 30s had suffered a head injury and a female in her 60s had suffered an injury to her hip. They were both taken to hospital for treatment but have since been discharged.
No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
PC Ryan Brownett, the investigating officer, said: “This incident happened in a busy part of the city and I know from enquiries carried out so far that there were a significant number of people in the area at the time. Our investigation is continuing and I’d like to speak to anyone who might be able to help but has not yet contacted police. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have filmed the incident on a mobile phone. Anything you’re able to provide could assist us.”
