Detectives are investigating several incidents where high-value headphones have been taken from people in Leicester.
In each incident, the suspect or suspect has been riding an electric pushbike, taking the headphones from the victim’s head and riding off. All of the incidents are believed to be linked to one another. No injuries have been reported by any of the victims.
The incidents happened at the following locations:
Detective Constable Eden Hardman, the investigating officer, said: “Firstly, I’d urge anyone wearing headphones in the city to remain vigilant and be mindful that there is a person or people intent on taking them.
“I’m keen to speak to anyone who has information about any of the incidents. I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have filmed something on a mobile phone or captured footage on a dashcam. Furthermore, if you have also been a victim but not yet made a report to police, then please do so.
“Anything you’re able to tell us could help.”
