Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was stabbed in London Road.
Police were called just before 4.30am today (Sunday 29 December) and on arrival, officers found a man in his 20s Saxby Street and Prebend Street. He was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Officers remain in the area this morning as the investigation to establish what happened continues.
Detective Sergeant Dan Robberts said: “While we’re carrying out further enquiries, I’d ask anyone who may be able to help to get in touch today.
“Given the location where the incident occurred, there may be motorists with dashcam footage but I’d also ask anyone who saw or filmed the incident to come forward. Anything you’re able to provide or tell us could assist us.”
