A third arrest has been made following a report of a shooting in Mulberry Avenue, Leicester, last Saturday (3 February).
A 21-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection with the incident. She has since been released on police bail.
A 48-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident and released on police bail.
Police had been called to the area just after 11pm last Saturday to a report of the discharge of a firearm into a stationary car in the street.
The man in the car, who is in his 30s, sustained a minor injury as a result of the incident.
Detective Inspector Michael Chandler, from the Complex Investigation Team, said: “A team of detectives continue to investigate this incident and we are working to establish the full circumstances.
“We continue to urge people to come forward if they have any information that could assist us and we continue to encourage residents in the area to speak to local officers if they have any concerns.”
