Officers are in attendance in the Narborough Road area following an assault in Leicester.
Police were called at 12.28pm today (Wednesday 19 June) to a report a man had been stabbed while in the street in Cambridge Street.
The injured man has been taken to hospital and his injury is not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
A part of Narborough Road citybound and Cambridge Street was closed while officers respond at the scene. Narborough Road has since reopened.
Our investigation remains at an early stage as our enquiries continue.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information about what happened, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 278 of 19 June.
