Officers are appealing for witnesses after a 22-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in Bede Park, Leicester.
The incident took place around 11.30pm on Monday 30 September. The victim was on his e-scooter riding through the park when he dropped his phone and stopped to pick it up.
At which point he was approached by a group of up to five people who threatened him with a knife, demanded money and his phone.
He was pushed to the ground, some of the suspects sat on him and assaulted him before stealing cash, a mobile and e-scooter.
The victim sustained a laceration to his cheek which required medical treatment.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed what happened or has heard rumours since about who may be involved.
