A man has been jailed after admitting burglary and fraud offences committed earlier this year.
Michael McCarthy, 36, of no fixed address was sentenced to 30 months 28 days in prison at Leicester Crown Court on Friday (4 October) after admitting burglary and two counts of fraud by false representation.

McCarthy previously pleaded guilty to a burglary at a property in Stamford Street, Leicester overnight between 31 January and 1 February earlier this year.
Stolen from the property were several items including a bank card which was later fraudulently used.
McCarthy was also sentenced after admitting a charge of assaulting an emergency worker when he bit an officer during his arrest and a charge of being in possession of a Class B drug which he was found to be carrying.
A second man was also sentenced in June to two years and six months in prison in relation to the same burglary.
