A 22-year-old man has been charged with several offences following a serious collision in Beaumont Leys yesterday (Thursday 12 September).
Ryan Skelton has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, one count of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance and one count of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The charges relate to an incident in Oronsay Road just after 10.30am yesterday (Thursday).
Skelton, of Round House Close, Bagworth, is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ court this afternoon (Friday 13 September).
Enquiries into the incident are continuing and officers are asking for anyone with information who has not yet come forward to do so.
A 23-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail.
