A 35-year-old man who died following an incident in Braunstone Frith has been named as Louis Howard.
Police were called to a house in Oakdale Close just after 10.40pm on Wednesday (9 April) following a report a man had been stabbed.
Officers attended with the East Midlands Ambulance Service, but Louis was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A post-mortem examination has confirmed that he died as a result of a stab wound.

In a statement, Louis’ family said: “Louis was a beloved son, gentle giant, faithful father, best brother and uncle in the world. He has been ripped from us cruelly and our hearts are forever shattered.”
Following previous police contact, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
* A 16-year-old youth has been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded and he is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 12 April.
A 32-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail.
A 33-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail.
