A man has been charged with driving offences following a fatal road traffic collision in Loughborough in 2023.
Jonathan Knight, 30, of Beacon Road, Loughborough has been charged with causing death by driving while unlicenced, causing death by driving while uninsured, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and perverting the course of justice.
He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 20 January).
The charges relate to a collision in which Anthony Smith, known as Tony, died after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle in Ling Road on the evening of Friday 7 July 2023.
