February saw a number of people sentenced to time in prison for their crimes. See our round up of the month:

Aden Hollyoake

Shocking footage shows the moment a police officer was bitten by a dog inside a property in Ibstock, leaving him with serious injuries.

On the afternoon of Thursday 26 October in 2023, two local officers attended an address in Lewis Close wanting to speak to Aden Hollyoake, who lived at the address.

Leon Bowes

“Leon needs to be kept away from women permanently”.

The words of three ‘incredibly brave women’ who all suffered torture and abuse at the hands of the same man.

That man, Leon Bowes, was sentenced to life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 17 years and four months behind bars for a total of 29 crimes on 6 February.

Clifford Alvarez

A man has been jailed for life after he was found guilty for his part in the death of Junior Osborne.

Clifford Alvarez – known as Cliffy – was found guilty of murder on Wednesday 12 February following a trial at Leicester Crown Court. He was also found guilty of possession of an offensive weapon.

On Friday 14 February he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 26 years.
