Two teenagers were arrested following a report of a stabbing in Oadby yesterday (Monday 3 March) and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Police were called to the area of Forest Rise, Eden Close and Eden Road just before 3.30pm following a report that a fight had taken place.
When officers arrived, a 16-year-old boy was found to have suffered a stab wound injury that was not life-threatening or life-changing.
The two boys, aged 16 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and have both been released on bail.
Detective Sergeant Kirsty Yearby said: “Our investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident is continuing and I’d ask anyone who can help to contact police.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who might’ve filmed the fight on a mobile phone or captured it on a dashcam, doorbell or CCTV camera. Anything you’re able to tell us could assist us.”
