Officers are appealing for help in identifying a person believed to be involved in a fail to stop incident in the city centre.
At about 3pm on Wednesday 23 April, a black Audi failed to stop for officers on Western Boulevard.
A pursuit was authorised, and the Audi was brought to a stop on Saffron Lane, between Shakespeare Street and Sheridan Street and three men left the vehicle.
Two men were arrested at the scene. The third man is outstanding, and officers are asking for help in identifying him.
DC Alex Jepson, from the City CID team, said: “If anyone in the area of where the car came to a stop has any doorbell footage or dash cam footage, please contact us.
“This is a very serious incident, where many road users were put at severe risk, and it is a surprise no one was seriously injured as a result. We are therefore keen to see any footage which might help us identify the third man involved.”
DC Jepson added: “We are also appealing for any dashcam or CCTV footage from around 1pm on the same day on Saffron Lane involving a black Audi which may be linked.
“A 47-year-old man was walking on Saffron Lane, heading towards Pork Pie Island when a black Audi approaches him, and passenger gets out following the victim on foot.
“The Audi mounted the kerb and drove into the victim, leaving him with minor injuries.
“The victim continued to walk towards Pork Pie Island as the Audi picks up the passenger and turns around, heading back county bound down Saffron Lane.”
