Appeal after city centre assault

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Leicester city centre.

The incident happened at around 2am on Saturday 12 September on High Street between Shires Lane and Carts Lane.

During the incident, the victim – a man in his 30’s - sustained a broken nose, broken eye socket and broken cheekbone after being assaulted by a group of people.

Two people – a man aged 21 and a woman aged 20 - have been arrested on suspicion of assault  and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
