Meet the partners involved in Safer Spaces

Leicestershire Police

Since April 2025, Leicestershire Police has received funding from the Home Office to increase the number of high-visibility patrols across Leicestershire.

Working with partners, these enhanced patrols are designed to strengthen engagement with the public, while creating safer, more welcoming spaces for residents, workers, and visitors alike.

Falcon Support Services

Home Office funding enables the Falcon Centre to run outreach patrols and extend support hours for vulnerable individuals in Loughborough, focusing on homelessness and referrals.

Leicester City Council

Home Office funding has extended the hours of Leicester’s Street Wardens since April 2025, enhancing enforcement of the PSPO and reducing antisocial behaviour in the city centre.

BID Leicester

Supported by Home Office funding, Leicester BID Ambassadors patrol the city centre, engaging with businesses, promoting local offerings, and reporting issues to improve the visitor experience.

Melton Borough Council

Since July 2025, Melton Borough Council has used Home Office funding to boost patrols and tackle antisocial behaviour, making the town centre safer for residents and visitors.

Loughborough BID

Launched in May 2025 and funded by the Home Office, Loughborough’s street security team provides weekend evening patrols to prevent violence and antisocial behaviour in the town centre.

Turning Point

Operating since 2022 with Home Office support, Turning Point’s outreach team engages young people and supports those facing homelessness or substance misuse, helping reduce crime severity in Leicester.

North West Leicestershire District Council

Funded by the Home Office, Ashby’s Night Time Economy Wardens have been active since July 2024, helping reduce serious violence and antisocial behaviour while safeguarding vulnerable individuals during weekend nights.
