We’ll train you to be a first class police officer via the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP), a two year training programme.
As a new police officer you’ll follow the two year training programme, learning on the job from experienced colleagues; it gives a blend of practical on-the-job experience and classroom-based learning. Your training will be supported by our dedicated in-house training team.
After 37 weeks you’ll reach independent patrol status and when you finish your training, you’ll be allocated a station for the remainder of the two year programme.
