Your Dedicated Neighbourhood Team (DNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The community have stated that ASB is a concern within The Charnwood East area.

Patrols have continued regarding areas highlighted as having ABS concerns. Particular attention has been paid to the locations of Checkland Road with reports of doors being knocked and youths running away, Central Park Syston and Donkey park regarding quad bikes.
There will be continued patrols of the parks to reduce the ASB caused by quad bikes. There have been reports of e-scooters being ridden on Melton Road and Syston – patrols will take place
Patrols will be modified as appropriate to areas highlighted as a concern through reports submitted

The community have stated that speeding and parking issues are a concern at various locations throughout the Charnwood East area.

This month we have had several operations targeting speeding. Including Melton Road Rearsby, Barkby Road Queniborough, Fosse way Syston. The results of these detailed in Facebook posts on the Charnwood page.
Further reports have been passed to us and we are looking at completing further Speed operation in the coming months.

There has been a recent increase in residential burglaries with Charnwood East area.

High visibility Patrols both on foot and in a marked police vehicle have been mainly conducted in Syston, Thurmaston, Queniborough, East Goscote areas where there have been reports of burglaries.
Whilst we have had a reduction in reported burglaries in these areas over the last week the team will continue to conduct patrols and assist with enquiries for the investigation
