To support City Centre businesses with retail crime and tackle perpetrators

YOU SAID:
-Retail crime effects shopping areas of the City Centre and you would like to see action to tackle this and support our retailers

*OCTOBER UDATE*
WE DID:
-We have conducted store surveys with our Designing Out Crime team, identifying opportunities to improve security, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and create a safer environment for businesses and visitors.
-Continued to conduct regular high visibility patrols of key locations including Highcross, Haymarket, High Street and Gallowtree Gate.
-Submitted a further 2 criminal behaviour orders to the courts for consideration, aimed at addressing persistent anti-social behaviour.
-A dedicated team of officers have been working to bring retail crime offenders to justice with a significant increase in arrests and charges since the implementation of this team.
-Worked with youth justice to place control measures on young persons responsible for ASB in our retail spaces.

To tackle Burglary and Robbery offences in the City Centre

YOU SAID:
-Burglary and Robbery offences are impactful and you are concerned about these. You want to know what action is being taken to pursue offenders and protect the public

*OCTOBER UPDATE*
WE DID:
-Three males have been arrested and charged with burglary offences.
-PC Karl has identified two additional males suspected of involvement in burglary offences. Enquiries are ongoing and efforts to locate them are currently underway.
-Conducted dedicated patrols in intelligence led areas to support our community and tackle those who wish to cause harm.
-Conducted visits to business and residential complexes highlighting current trends and passing safety advice.
-A further male has been issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order following numerous offences, including burglary, to help prevent further offending and protect the community.

To tackle anti-social behaviour in the area of Cank Street, St Martins Square and the Cathedral Grounds

YOU SAID:
-You want to enjoy the Cathedral Grounds, Cank Street, St Martins Square and the surrounding area but anti-social behaviour is preventing this.

WE DID:
-Regular patrols of Cathedral Grounds, Cank Street, St Martins Square.
-Multiple stop searches conducted with numerous offenders issued with out of court disposals
-We have conducted a location survey with our Designing Out Crime team, identifying opportunities to improve security, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and create a safer environment for residents, businesses and visitors
-Officers have deployed on dedicated operations in this area to tackle drug and vehicle relates ASB. This has resulted in stop searches, arrets, vehicle seizures and intelligence developed.
-Working with local businesses to support them and reduce the anti-social behaviour they have been subject to.
