WE DID:
-High visibility foot patrols in key shopping areas engaging with retailers and shoppers whilst conducting surveys and offering prevention support and advice.
-Tailored visit conducted at Primark to discussing CCTV improvements, security deployment focusing around deterring.
-2 juveniles identified for causing repeated issues for retailers a Haymarket have been issued with warning letters and centre bans.
-A new newsletter has been produced for retailers with BID Leicester which highlights best practice, crime trends and current statistics around shop theft as well as what support is available for them.
-Our PCSO's have completed engagements at the Haymarket and Highcross shopping centres interacting with businesses and the public.

To reduce the use of E-Scooters and overpowered E-Bikes in City Centre spaces.

*JANUARY UPDATE*
WE DID:
-Since June 2023, there has been a dedicated policing operation running to engage with those using e-scooters and e-bikes. When found to be illegal (not conforming to EPAC regulations), riders are issued a warning. The warning is logged on police systems so that if riders are stopped a second time officers could initiate the next stage of the approach and seize the vehicle.
-From January this month we have moved to a seize without warning stance following continued complaints about these vehicle being ridden through the city centre. On a deployment of Operation Pedalfast this month we seized 17 E-scooters and 11 illegal E-bikes. More deployments are planned in the coming weeks and months.

WE DID:
-High visibility foot patrols have been conducted around the perimeter of campus and areas that we know students congregate.
-Supported a vulnerable student following a report of harassment with relevant safeguarding from Police and the College, the investigation is still underway.
-Our PCSO's have been and engaged with other businesses in the area to discuss how we can support them and what action they can take to prevent ASB.
-PC Ellis continues to support the College with regular meetings to discuss problem management, student safety and champion all the good work that is being done.
