The charges relate to a stolen vehicle which failed to stop and was pursued by officers yesterday (26 October) in the Loughborough area.
The beat team aim to target reports of speeding in Charnwood West villages. If you believe that there is an issue in your area, let the beat team know so that we can review and possibly target those areas also.

The Beat Team have continued to monitor speeding within the villages and note and locations that local residents make us aware of carrying out high visibility patrols to deter drivers and we have also been in touch with partner agencies to request enforcement vans be placed at selected locations when possible. We have further speed operations planned for the Beat Team to carry out over the next few months.

The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB within the villages including the parks and beauty spots of Charnwood West.

During the month of September the Beat Team have patrolled the ASB hotspot areas pointed out to us by local residents and the parish council such as local parks, Swithland Reservoir and Beacon Hill, can we please remind the public that the site at Beacon Hill is a SSI and we are very lucky to have such a site in the local area. Please be respectful of the rules set out by the Park Rangers. Joint agency patchwalks and Community Protection Warnings and Notices have been issued at addresses in Rothley due to on-going anti-social behaviour.

The beat team will engage with the community providing crime prevention advice, encourage the use of security measures to make properties more secure. Attending reports of burglaries to secure any evidence and pursue reasonable lines of enquiry to identify any offender aiming to reduce burglaries in Charnwood west villages.

There have been high visibility patrols across the NL56 Charnwood West beat during September both by the Beat Team and the response Officers from Charnwood NPA. Residents have been informed as and when burglaries occur via our neighbourhood link service. We have also attended reports of burglaries as a beat team gathered local intelligence and enquiries have been carried out, victims of crime visited and updated and crime prevention advice given.
