I joined Leicestershire Police in 2008 and have been fortunate to work across a wide range of departments and teams helping set up several teams (Missing from Home Team, Digital Hub and Cybercrime Unit) which are now a core part of the forces service delivery.

I was fortunate enough to be a dedicated neighbourhood officer in 2010 and having spent the last 11 years in a range of Detective Roles I am thoroughly enjoying being back in a public facing uniform role where I hope that my passion and drive to work with and serve the communities of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland helps build those necessary relationships to ensure we can all work together to make this a great place to live and work for our families and communities.

Landing in East Leicester in 2024 I took on responsibility for half of the area and six months later I took on the entirety of the Community Engagement and Neighbourhood Policing for East Leicester. A steep learning curve for sure but having had great support from the local command team and the communities we serve I have learnt plenty and identified plenty more I do not know.

East Leicester has one of the most diverse demographics in the country and it brings its own set of challenges that I will continue to strive to understand and deal with appropriately without fear or favour.

I would ask that the communities of East Leicester look to the police as a part of their community and allow us to do what we need to do locking up those who cause the most harm and safeguarding those who need it.

My motto will always be that when we have to “police to our community” it means we have failed. What we should aim to do is police as part of the community.

  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

General ASB - results from survey conducted via Neighbourhood Link, indicate that this is a priority concern on the area. Incidents of criminal damage and arson around the Netherhall area, focusing on the parks and open spaces and congregation points at Netherhall Neighbourhood Centre and McDonalds where there have been instances of damage and ASB occurring.

    Issued 07 July 2026

    Action taken:

Police Officers and Police Community Support Officer’s (PCSO) are addressing this with a multi-agency approach with crime prevention advice being given.

Offenders have been identified and are being dealt with appropriately by officers and also by partner agencies.

Dedicated patrols are in place to prevent offending, identify those involved in any incidents and to support the community.

    Actioned 07 July 2026

  • Priority:

Road Safety - results from my views survey conducted by the local team, via Neighbourhood Link, indicate that this is a priority concern on the area.

Concerns regarding manner of driving, parking matters and vehicles being used without tax or insurance have been reported.

    Issued 07 July 2026

    Action taken:

The team continue to address your concerns regarding road safety in the local area through a combination or partnership working and enforcement.

By working in conjunction with partner agencies and listening to the local community we are able to identify high-risk areas and develop longer-term solutions through traffic calming measures and more appropriate road signage.

The beat team continue tackle road safety concerns as part of Op Syphon addressing issues including speeding, dangerous parking, seatbelt usage and more.

Patrols have been completed with Leicester City Council to identify and deal with offending vehicles, resulting in these being seized.

    Actioned 07 July 2026

  • Priority:

Nuisance Motorbikes - results from my views survey conducted by the local team, via Neighbourhood Link, indicate that this is a priority concern on the area.

Reports of nuisance motorbikes travelling across Netherhall Park and across the Hamilton estate towards open land next to Thorpebury in the Limes estate where they then ride these motorbikes and quads in an antisocial manner causing noise pollution. There are concerns around the dangerous way these motorcycles are being ridden through the estates.

    Issued 07 July 2026

    Action taken:

Beat Police Officers continue to work to provide a safe living area for the local residents. Regular patrols are taking place during key times to try and tackle this issue.

We will also be completing targeted enforcement of the use of e-scooters and e-bikes to increase the safety of residents on identified roads where this has been reported as an issue.

Joint partnership meetings are being held with the council and the beat team for Charnwood to complete a working strategy to tackle this issue.

    Actioned 07 July 2026
