Crimes and priorities

  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti Social Behaviour - reports and concerns regarding youths and anti social behaviour in the local areas, mainly around the shops on Thurncourt Road.

ASB and Criminal Damage being caused to bus routes throughout Thurnby Lodge.

    Issued 27 April 2026

    Action taken:

Police Officers and Police Community Support Officer’s (PCSO) are addressing this with a multi-agency approach.

The youths involved have been identified and we continue to patrol the area. Further offending will be dealt with by an incremental approach.

    Actioned 01 June 2026

  • Priority:

Nuisance Motorbikes - results from my views survey conducted by the local team, via Neighbourhood Link, indicate that this is a priority concern on the area.

Youths are riding off road motorbikes and quads across the area and on to Netherhall or Hamilton. These vehicles are being ridden in a dangerous and careless manner causing concern to the residents for their safety.

    Issued 27 April 2026

    Action taken:

Beat Police Officers continue to work to provide a safe living area for the local residents. Regular patrols are taking place during key times to try and tackle this issue.

We will also be completing targeted enforcement of the use of e-scooters and e-bikes to increase the safety of residents.

S59 notices and seizure of motorbikes have been completed.

A joint partnership approach will be taken with the council and neighbouring beat areas.

    Actioned 01 June 2026

  • Priority:

Road Safety - There are concerns regarding parking, mainly vehicles parking on pavements and blocking access to drop kerbs and general inconsiderate parking or road use. Reports are being made of vehicles being used without tax and insurance.

    Issued 27 April 2026

    Action taken:

The team continue to address your concerns regarding road safety in the local area through a combination or partnership working and enforcement.

By working in conjunction with partner agencies and listening to the local community we are able to identify high-risk areas and develop longer-term solutions through traffic calming measures and more appropriate road signage.

The beat team continue to tackle road safety concerns as part of Op Syphon addressing issues including speeding, dangerous parking, seat belt usage and more.

Patrols have been completed with Leicester City Council to identify and deal with offending vehicles, resulting in these being seized.

    Actioned 01 June 2026
