ASB - dirtbikes and scrambler motorbikes racing around the villages of Groby and Ratby as well as the Martinshaw woods.

Officers have increased foot patrols around the location. We have also attended Jenny’s Way and surrounding streets and spoken to several youths in relation to causing ASB in area.

Overweight vehicles are driving through restricted areas causing problems for villages and getting stuck.

Officers carried out a weight restriction enforcement operation across a number of villages within the area, including Sutton Cheney, Bagworth, Kirkby Mallory, Barton in the Beans, Carlton, Nailstone, Stanton under Bardon, Shenton, Desford, Newbold Verdon, Osbaston, and several surrounding villages. During the operation, three vehicles were stopped and spoken with regarding their journeys and compliance with local weight restrictions. Two of the vehicles were found to be operating within the restrictions and no issues were identified. One vehicle was travelling within a weight-restricted area; however, following enquiries, it was established that the driver was making a legitimate delivery to a nearby business and was therefore exempt from the restriction. We will continue to carry out patrols and targeted operations in response to community concerns regarding large vehicles using unsuitable routes through our villages.

Numerous burglaries have been reported across the beat last month, local Officers and CID are working hard to establish any links and identify those responsible.
